This title logo, top-center, started showing up in 1956. It remained in this form until the 1968 edition. The 1966 edition was the only one that incorporated the date in the title logo and replaced the bottom curved 'Handbook' with a straightened version of the text.
For two years, 1963 & 1964, the title logo was moved slightly to the left border to add a right sidebar to both edition covers.
The 1963 edition featured a photo of the 'Tokyo Tower', and at the time the time was billed as the tallest television tower in the world at 332 meters.
The 1964 edition had a 'peoples of the world' theme and both editions had the phrase 'To Live In Peace With Each Other' in the sidebar.
